Welcome

St Polycarp’s is a highly successful two form Catholic Primary school, part of the Xavier Catholic Education Trust. Our school is situated in beautiful well resourced grounds within walking distance to Farnham town centre.

St Polycarp’s is a lively, vibrant, happy community where we aim for every child to learn and thrive.  The Gospel values form the basis of our ethos and teaching, we celebrate that every child is unique and ensure that all children are valued. We aim to promote a love of learning, creativity and independence, helping children to face challenges with confidence and resilience.  We are proud of our outstanding academic success and are driven to provide challenge for all.  Provision in all areas of learning was rated ‘Outstanding’ in our most recent OFSTED and diocesan inspections.

We consider ‘active learning’ to be central to our school.  Children participate in daily running, a wide variety of sports and our commitment is reflected in achieving the Platinum Sports Award.

As a forward thinking school, we embrace new educational initiatives proven to have a positive impact on our children. We are proud to be a key local provider for Initial Teacher Training, training outstanding teachers for the future. This year we are excited about our new role as a Strategic Lead School delivering training to teachers across Surrey schools through the Xavier Hub.

Thank you for your interest in St Polycarp’s, I hope our website will give you an understanding of what we have to offer and while the virtual tour gives an overview of the school site, please contact the school to visit to see for yourself what makes St Polycarp’s a special place to learn.
