St Polycarp’s is a proud and enthusiastic Eco-School and we currently hold an Eco-Schools Green Flag Award. The whole school continually addresses environmental issues and work together to make our school as environmentally friendly as possible.
Each class is represented by a class-elected, Eco Committee member who meet with Miss Kennington at least once a half term. Children are involved in discussing the 9 areas of concern (Energy, Water, Biodiversity, School grounds, Healthy Living, Transport, Litter, Waste and Global citizenship) and how we can address these in our school. The committee feeds back what they have been working on to their classes and in assemblies.
